As the House Rabbit Society states, rabbits arent for everyone. The American Humane Association advises people, After the holiday, if your family is ready for a new pet, consider an adorable adoptable dog or cat from your local animal shelter.

Never buy a rabbit from a pet store. Why? because the bad news is... For every rabbit you get from a pet store, a shelter rabbit is killed.
