Another thing was that apparently his body kicks weren't doing enough damage to Shogun to win those exchanges. Where Shogun beat him was with the leg kicks.
I can't wait to see what Lyoto comes up with for the rematch. Shogun really worked hard to develop that strategy strictly for Lyoto. And regardless of what the decision or score was, we know that Shogun had him beat. The question is, can Shogun do it again? Something inside me tells me no.
