I bought your dvd's for my husband's birthday. He's been modeling for over 17 years and picked up all sorts of new tricks. Its a great set and I highly recommend it for other gamers out there- old and new. Its a very well done series. You certainly have an eye for details. I've been looking for something like this for years. Just one question, if its not too much to ask- would it be possible for you to post the first section on basecoating (on the first dvd) here on youtube? It freezes up on the dvd and skips to the second part. The dvd is brand spanking new and our dvd player is as well, so I am thinking there is some sort of production error. Regardless, thumbs up for a great job and best wishes to you and your family!

kzarone Thanks! Glad you like my minis. ;) It's ironic, because I just picked up my first 1/6 scale resin to work on! I'm getting into the larger stuff (54mm, 80mm, 1/6.)

Yes, most of the techniques definitely scale up. You'll just need to use large brushes. Blending will work, but I think layering is better on that scale, unless you work in oils. Acrylics are a little harder to use on the larger scales because of the drying times. But if I pick up any tips when I do the resin, I'll let you know!

Evegoden If you're successful at freehand it sounds like you have the necessary brush control. You may just need to thin your paints more or use some medium. Acrylic Flow-aid (or a drop of dish soap in your water mix) helps break down surface tension, letting the acrylics flow smoother... Good luck and thanks for considering my DVDs!
