Abortion is the biggest issue in the world today. Millions of babies each year are killed for selfish reasons. In order to accomplish this mass slaughter people are forced to take a jaded stance on life in general. This is evident in the flippant attitudes of modern culture, and the anger that is aroused in the average citizen when forced to consider the ethical aspects of life and death issues. Nobody wants to think about it.....how often do you? We fill our lives with our self interest and entertainment, and we ignore the horrors being carried out with our implied consent. It happens daily in the "clinics" we all know exist, yet we drive by them as if they don't....trying not to think about what happens there. Maybe we've even heard someone we know trying to justify the murders and we said nothing. Or we voted for a candidate for office who we thought might benefit our interests even though they support this legal slaughter. You think its horrible, and you wish someone would stop it, but you're too busy. And I'm no different most days, don't think I believe I'm any better. We all need to pray that God will give us the grace necessary to do more. I want to be able to teach my children to be proud of their country. Yet how can any of us do so today?
