And morality was spawned by theology. Without theology, there was no justification for morality. Every civilization on Earth had its own concept for the divine, and they used that as a justification for their morality. Look at Achaemenid Persia. Or Rome and Greece. All these per-Christian civilizations used theology to protect their morality. In countries where there is no God, morality declines in favor of greed. Because the people's value systems change. Actually, the KKK ignores Christ's teaching that there "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28) And with Lenin and Stalin, they actually had all the right reasons to revolt; starvation at home, a useless war, they had all the right justifications. Lenin and Stalin used a corrupted form of marxist communism, and stuck a forced atheism on the population as part of their way to control the population, which were sheep, many filled with resentment for the wealth of the old church. the church was in part responsible for making their population so dependant on the elite (authorities) in the first place.
Atheism is simply a dis-belief, it has no dogma at all. Its neutral.
Separate the concepts from the corrupted examples of its application and you will realise this. Should we tar christianity and capitalism with the worlds economic crisis now? they played a part because they were USED by those who took part in the bad choices. And most Christians i knew believe in both evolution and Dark Matter, but people should be free to disagree when it comes to scientific theories whose supposed results we could not as of yet prove absolutely 100% true or reproduce mechanically step by step. We still don't have Dark Energy and the theory of Evolution has holes larger than the Grand Canyon from the start. I believe them both, but they need more research before being taught as absolute fact. Geocentrism was taught as an absolute fact due to majority of astrologists not feeling the Earth move, and look what happened to that. Even the people who condemned Galileo felt embarrassed and later worked to reverse the ban.

What Communism does is give the lazy and stupid sheep the same resources as those who worked all their life to amass resources rightfully. It creates laziness, destroys the incentive to work harder, and in the end, the state has to resort to violence to get people to work, since there's no way up for them and they'll be factory workers from cradle to grave.

If a student disagrees with String Theory over Dark Matter Theory then I would imagine a professor would listen and not dismiss him/her. Saying ghosts told him/her that dark matter does not exist would deserver dismissal.
