Aside from her voice, of course...I'm struck by the fact that she's so physically at ease while performing, at such a (comparatively) young age. She's very "open".

This was the most enchanting and exuberant Broadway musical I ever saw. I actually saw it twice, mostly for the dancing!

Mmmmm...the acting here's a bit awkward. And I'm not crazy about the singer playing Frank's slightly metalic voice...

This song was written about musical theater actress Shelley Plimpton, who was in the original cast of "Hair". Carradine had a crush on her when he wrote this, and they later had a child together, the actress Martha Plimpton.

Her voice has a VERY wide range (!) I've heard singers try this and "My Idahoe Home", and they can either hit the notes on the low end, or the top notes. Blakley's very fluid with both.
