Now: Aiming to play all the stage and boss themes from Touhou 06 to Touhou 13
About Me:
My aim is to play all the Touhou Stage and Boss themes from Touhou 06 to Touhou 12. I may do some from PC-98/ ZUN's CDs/ spinoffs if I feel like it.
Many thanks to kkcwkoh for Touhou sheet music.
I enjoy making notecharts and analyzing OSTs of certain games. I also hope to become a better piano player (my playing is really messy for now).
FAQ
1. Where can I get the sheet music?
A: Most of my scores/sheet are obtained from kkcwkoh. Basically type the title of the theme that you want + piano into the search bar and click on the video by him. Go to the description and you can find a link there.
2. Why is your arrangement different from the one in the sheet music?
A: I never follow the sheet music directly, I sometimes use my own style and add parts that are present in the original that are not in the sheet, or remove parts that are too difficult to play or relatively insignificant.
3. Do you play by ear?
A: I do not have perfect pitch/hearing, but, well, you can say half-half. If there were no sheet to be found on the Internet I would have made some of my own, but it's a long and tiring process so I'd rather use what is available to me.
4. How long have you been playing?
A: Since about 8 years old, I can't exactly remember. To be honest, for someone who is playing that long, I'm not really that good. But then again it's subjective.
5. How long did it take you to play these themes?
A: Anytime from a few weeks to months, depending on difficulty. I usually spend about one hour on Touhou every day on the piano, but I seldom work solely on one theme, unless it's particularly difficult, usually I breeze through 20 themes or so.
6. What's the model of your piano?
A: Yamaha U1

-I do not watch Anime. Touhou doesn't count as Anime, of course. Not that I would mind a Touhou Anime...(not counting the one video or something we have now)
-I played solely Classical on piano until a few years ago. However I only started to record when I played Touhou on piano.
-1cc'd Normal on Touhou 6-10. Also completed extra for Touhou 10.
-Used to play Trombone in the school band
