The Holeshot Event

From 1984 to 1987 "The Holeshot Event" created by Andy Ruffell featured US stars such as Matt Hoffman, Christian Hosoi, Gator Rogowski, Dino deluca, Jeff Grosso, Jason Jesse, Mark Gonzales, Steve Alba, Brian Blyther, Josh White, Jason Ellis, Rich Sigur, Ron Wilkerson, Woody Itson, Dizz Hicks, Ceppie Maes and UK Stars Neil Ruffell RIP, Craig Campbell, Carlo Griggs, Lee Reynolds and many more. The event was a forerunner to the modern X Games. BMXers and skaters from the UK and USA took part in a wild competition on ramps and flatland with the judges using the crowd noise as part of the judging process. It was mayhem most of the time with the crowd invading the arena and the world's best riders and skaters riding the walls!
