The Brick Mill Cemetery, an all African American graveyard, dates to ca.1900,if not earlier. The B.M.C. is located on private land and not open to the general public except by appointment while the Caretaker is on site.

This cemetery is the final resting place for not less then thirty former slaves and at least twenty-five veterans of four foreign wars.

Jack Robinson, Researcher of local History and retired U.S. Marine, has been granted exclusive permission to be the cemetery's caretaker but, more importantly, its' Director of operations for the stabilization and preservation project.

Jack has recently joined forces with the International Association of Cemetery Preservationists (IACP is home based in Florida, USA). This dedicated group work to preserve old cemeteries. The IACP, inc is a -501c3- organization.
