Hirsch Industries, Inc. was formed in 1991 and incorporated in 1992. The president received a technical school degree in 1972 from Philco Automotive in Philadelphia. He later worked with Porsche, Audi, Volvo, Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen on the dealership level. He became both a shop foreman and service manager for Volvo, Porsche and Audi. In 1979 he opened a private repair facility in a Pennsylvania suburb outside of Philadelphia. This service facility specialized in Audi, Volvo, BMW, Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen. In 1982 and 1983 they were awarded the Best of Philadelphia for foreign car repair by Philadelphia magazine. They also were a state of Pennsylvania certified state inspection garage and were emission control certified. In addition to the repair services offered they worked with an engineering firm out of Willington Delaware as an accident investigator for alleged automotive defects and collision investigation. The company was sold to two employees in the late eighties. After much research and investigation Hirsch Industries open in Phoenix Arizona. The company opened as a Volvo only recycling facility and slowly added repair and installation services as clients demanded additional services. Later they started selling new parts and expanding to the internet in 1996. The company was ordered to move in order to accommodate a freeway. After a year moving hundreds and hundreds of cars and the contents of an eight thousand square foot warehouse the company reopened on the west side of Phoenix. The freeway was never built. Hirsch Industries, Inc. later sold the assets of the state licensed recycling company. Today they continue to sell quality European and Asian parts on the internet with the offices remaining in Arizona and warehouse located through the United States.
