We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful attention in giving us the opportunity to present to you Hip-HopTV24/7.org Incorporated, which will be launching in December 2008.

The purpose of Hip-HopTV24/7.org Incorporated is to provide a quality online media outlet that is geared towards disenfranchised youth in the hip-hop community (ages 8-18) and operated by disenfranchised youth in the hip-hop community (ages 14-18) that is educational, entertaining, empowering and fun. This media outlet will offer an internship of sorts for these students who are interested in the fields of news and media. The information that is reported will be available online twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. This information will include, but will not be limited to;

•H- History (current and past events in America history and abroad).

•I- Industry (the latest news and information in music, fashion, film, sports and media).

•P- Politics (news and information in politics, corporate affairs, local and state laws and the Constitution).

•H- Health and Humanity (alternatives for a healthy diet and healthy way of life to fight against obesity and diabetes).

•O- Opportunity (grants, scholarships and internships for students).

•P- Prosperity (interviews and write-ups with celebrities in hip-hop, government officials, educators, politicians, physicians and community activists who are making a difference).

In addition to the online news program we aim to create workshops and seminars for area youth that will provide information that is essential to improving their way of life by giving them the opportunity for personal growth, career exploration and development, alternatives for a healthy way of life, art and cultural enrichment, conflict resolution, socialization, literacy and collage preparation. These workshops and seminars will be conducted by important individuals in the community like educators, psychiatrists, physicians, dieticians, politicians, etc. Our purpose is to give these disenfranchised youth a more educational alternative to programming that fosters confidence and self worth while developing character through education provided by the website and workshop programs.

•According to Science Daily most teens (60%) spend an average of 20 hours in front of the television and computers, one third spend closer to 40 hours and about 7% more than 50 hours. BET and MTV bombards kids with sexual, violent, profane or obscene images once every 38 seconds. Boys and those whose parents had lower educational attainment were much more likely to be in the high-screen time group.

•According to the Alliance for Excellent Education, as reported in the School Library Journal, in 2007 70% of high school students in the United States graduated from high school. That means that a staggering 1.2 million students drop out annually. In 2005, 6% of white students, 10.4% of black students and 22.4% of Hispanic students did not graduate according to the U.S. Department of Education.

•According to the International Journal of Pediatric Obesity the number of overweight children worldwide will increase significantly by the end of the decade, and scientists expect profound impacts on everything from public health care to economies. Nearly half of the children in North and South America will be overweight by 2010.

We aim to give youth a more educational alternative to programming that fosters confidence and self worth while developing character through education provided by the website. We intend for our structure to play a part in the rebuilding of our communities and look forward to expanding worldwide. Our mission is change and making a difference is our passion. The core minutiae of Hip-HopTV24/7.org Incorporated possess the skills needed to deliver this positive message to youth in our communities, the country and the world that the culture of hip-hop is about education first, and with Hip-HopTV24/7.org Incorporated the message will be heard.
