About Me:

More than just Hip Hop music has lost its step since the turn of the century. Most of what the youth are listening to today lacks the crucial elements that made it the powerful movement that it was. Some of those that I have admired my whole young life at times have been reluctant to be themselves and started to drown in this watered down era of mainstream. I do get inspired not to lose hope though when I hear new cats and the seasoned vets that are out to prove that hip hop isn't 6 feet under us. It does need nourishment from the artists and fans alike. I thought it was only necessary to make a second channel aside from VHHS that is dedicated to those that are doing things to remain true to the art form and to preserve the culture that I grew up on. I enjoy watching these note worthy emcees and dj's emerging and breathing life back into the genre. The underground is hungry and almost everyday theres a kid who listened to a 25+ yr old "Paid In Full" album for the very first time and widens their perspective on where hip hop should be right now. Just that thought alone should be enough to keep the faith alive.
