Hillside is a fictional location, and is not based on any particular area. It has 4 stations with intense passenger services and a very busy freight yard dealing with intermodal containers. The main business is from the cement works which exports to Europe. A small preserved line has its own station and runs weekly excursions hauled by elderly diesels. A more detailed explanation of the layout can be found on my web site.
Our "Euro Partnership" consists of three other layouts. 'Stroley International England', 'Falcons Tower France' and 'Portland Grove Spain'. We run services to each other on a regular basis. The recent opening of the new Irish sea tunnel has meant that I can at last run my trains from Ireland to Europe with very little effort.
