The Monkees have passed all the criteria for entry. KISS, Rush as well. This is a personal affront by Wenner with nothing but bias. How can this guy be respected to admit anybody?

@Gunnabee Actually, they could ALL play guitar. Micky took a crash course on the drums for touring while Peter could play eight instruments in all. For a tv-inspired rock group, these guys were certainly up to the task when it came to recording and touring.

@JONNOG88 Jane is American but she has been living in Australia since 1988 when she worked on the updated Mission; Impossible series.

@ashcarl116 Greg Morris actually walked out on the film. He was disgusted. Martin Landau, Barbara Bain and Peter Graves were also not happy with the "plot twist" that had Jim Phelps as the bad guy. I didn't like it myself, frankly, having loved the series over the years.

Sublime but eerie quality in this score, reflects the somber nature of the film which is the ruin of humanity.

Reminds me a little of the end of Dr. Strangelove in which the world is destroyed to the gentle vocals of "We'll Meet Again".

Peter Graves was a class act just like his brother. Did the two of them ever work together?

@jodmackster Hey, just be glad Martin Caidin didn't have any serious influence here. For a finale, he wanted Steve Austin bumped off and replaced by Barney Hiller ($7 million dollar man, whom he always for the lead role).

Fantastic album and mini-concert. These four guys were amazing.

This was a great set. The chemistry was there and the new songs were inspired. Justus proved this quartet was a talent to be reckoned with. Get them into the Rock Hall of Fame!!

Hey, in all objectivity, these guys did play well. And like any performer, they were looking for their big break so I won't hold it against them. Unfortunately, the project was lame---they should have tried a different vehicle rather than what seemed a blatant attempt to usurp the originals. ...

Don Kirshner was a hit maker. However, if he had been allowed to stay, the Monkees would have done "Sugar, Sugar" and other gumballs and songs like "Randy Scouse Git" and "For Pete's Sake" would never have been done. The Monkees may have imploded but in the process produced some of their best ...

@bobbyronniegary Three hours. You got the main event. I saw their show at Mohegan Sun in CT and the casino wouldn't let them do the full show so we only got 90 minutes. Of course, any complaints we sent Mohegan were promptly deleted.

Allow me to make one correction. Nez did do a live show recently---only six songs but the response was good and none other than Micky showed up to watch it.

Another one who wouldn't like this video is Mike. Nez just HATES this song, thought it was too "packaged product". During the 97 tour when they played this song, he even stopped playing it at one point.

Actually, it was Charlton Heston's idea that Neville should get killed at the end. Heston did not want to chance there being a sequel since he disliked the idea of doing one. Therefore, he felt that by dying there would be no loophole to rope him into another movie.

This show was entertaining but broke so many laws of physics. How is it they managed to reach a new solar system every week---that moon must have been traveling at warp speed!
