These are individual choices for the fighters, their parents, and their coaches. I can't decide for them. The public forgets what it's like to be a kid. I can't even decide for my own kids as I'm not with them 24 hours a day. My parents had no idea about the incredibly dangerous & brain damaging things that I was doing as a teenager. ... I can only guide my kids with wisdom. So far, so good.

Very few kids have the mental capacity to stick it out.
Those that do have a foundation of at least 5 years of boxing, wrestling, TKD, Muay Thai, Karate, BJJ etc. Their egos are probably much smaller than you may think. Every kid lost almost every non-mma match for their first 1 or 2 years.
The kids at this level win & lose in front of large live audiences long before they enter MMA.
