First and foremost, I play classic rock music from around the 70'ies, although my music is not limited to that style or period. I have played a lot of different styles in my time.

I started out with the rock bands from 1970-1980 but around 1982, I switched to jazz, blues, and folk for a while. Around 1987, I switched to a more funk/rock oriented style, which gradually developed into a style that I call "experimental jazz".

Around 1990, I went back to the 70'ies rock music but soon ventured into a turbulent time. For a while around 1991 to 1993, I was playing latin, blues, metal, funk, fusion, afro, and folk in 8 different bands. That became too much for me all at the same time.

I stopped playing all together in 1993 and focused more on computers. I formed a band in 1995 with a few friends and my younger brother. We played what we thought was just rock music, but perhaps it was really "rock/blues-fusion" or something.

I stopped playing around 2000 and focused on computers again. However, in 2004, I got a call from one of my former bands. They wanted me to sit in for their drummer because he was leaving for a while. For some reason, I am still sitting in, so I guess I am the permanent drummer now. My current style is that good old rock'n'roll.

I like most styles and can play a little bass, piano, guitar, and do a little vocals. These skills are not something I have ever attempted to develop further. I chose to learn the basics in order to fully understand my role as a drummer and thus took an interest in music theory.

I have done many things in my time. I have worked in construction, explosives, computers (sales, repairs, networking, databases, programming, graphics, web design, tech support), paving roads, drumming, poker, managed a jazz club, and a few other things.
