About HERETIC OF REASON

Its time for a new zeitgeist. Time to reunderstand what religion actually is. its a practice, or a way of life. Mine comes from old Toltec wisdom teachings, that I learned by reading the four agreements. It taught me what religion really is all about . However I am an atheist, I still have a strong moral practice. As do many non Christians. I truly believe humanity can intellectually evolve much much quicker if we drop the easy explanation for everything of saying it is a result of a deity. It fills a large gap which can be replaced by an acceptance of our lack of understanding. Causing our natural thirst for an explanation on how we came about to be achieved by science instead of archaic scriptures which contradict themselves by their own philosophies. The evolution of the new zeitgeist if moral could be yet another step towards the revolution of a better society. It's independent thought causes society to roll. Ex: Christopher Columbus

I love to learn. I used to hate going to school and was a slacker, I wish I could go back and redo it but of course I can't. Though there was this focal point into which I had an uncontrollable thirst for knowledge. Why does this matter? Allow me to explain.

I cant remember exactly when I dropped my believe in a god but I certainly remember when I started to challenge the idea. It was at a church camp. What happened was the pastor said to all these kids including me. "Look around at all the complexity, randomness? I think not! When I look at a car it has an intriguing design to it created by a human. There is no way things could be the way they are like the car without a creator." I had a lot of trouble this logic I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like about it, it just didn't feel right. So I asked him. "So because of this reasoning is gods evidence for an elegant design? Is this the reasoning in which leads you to believe that god exist?" He quoted a bible verse that explained god cast his evidence all around much like the complexities of nature. To ultimately conclude "of course."

I later found out why it didn't feel right. Its because... We are surrounded by our own innovations(which are not creations rather an application of an understand of the world around us, more of a discovery.) Because of this it is drilled into our brains that complex things require creators. But if we broke away from that bias we tend to look at it more objectively thus when looking at the complexity of nature we open our minds to the idea that just because it is complex doesn't mean that it would require a creator in order to exist. That if his logical fallacy is what holds him to his god, then maybe his god is a creation of his mind and not the other way around.

Years and years later I fully challenged the Idea of a god, Since then that gap of understanding blew a door wide open of my human nature, in that we all have an uncontrollable thirst for knowledge, except for one that accepts the easy explanation of a god, that thirst is already quenched. Accepting the ignorance of how things came about makes me look at the world and my thirst for understanding to instead be achieved by reasoning and science.
