FREEDOM FROM RELIGION

RELIGION: (ri lij en), n, 1. An organized system of institution of belief based upon traditions of men instead of pursuit of friendship with God. 2. The act of playing church, exchanging internal truths for external performance; substituting spiritual realities with carnal rituals.

When many people hear the word GOD, they immediately think of the word RELIGION. God is not a religion. God is the Creator of the universe and all that it contains. Religion is a making of man.

When Jesus came to the earth, He did not come to put man under a religious system. Man has put man under a religious system. There was a group of religious leaders in the bible, The Pharisees. These religious leaders are the very ones who tried to find fault with people and loved to condemn them for not following their rules and regulations. Jesus confronted them and exposed them for who they were. Hypocrites. Jesus and His disciples broke many of their man made rules and didn't follow their religious traditions. The religious ones are who killed Jesus. (RELIGION KILLS / CHRIST GIVES LIFE).

There are many religions in the world, but only One True God. God is not a religion, nor does he expect people to follow a religion. He wants a relationship with His creation.

Christ = Inward experience
Religion = Outward performance

In my own personal experience, I have encountered this Awesome God who has confounded all my thoughts about religion.

A NOTE ABOUT PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Life is about experience. God is the author of lifes experience. Without an experience you have no argument. It is like a blind man who has never seen before debating with a man who has sight about the colors of the rainbow. He can't possibly know what the colors are without the personal experience of seeing them.

So it is with theists and atheists debating about the existence of God. Each person must have their own experience!

MANS WAY TO REACH GOD IS RELIGION; GOD'S WAY TO REACH MAN IS JESUS CHRIST!
