Orginating in the eastern suburbs of Victoria, Australian band Her Tortured Embrace are pushing the boundaries of the hardcore and progressive vein of melodic metal. Fusing the musicianship of influences such as Jethro Tull and Dream Theater, with the brutality and epic songwriting of bands such as Opeth and Killswitch Engage, a new genre - Progcore - has been forged.

Having recently acquired a new frontman, Her Tortured Embrace are rehearsing in preparation for some no doubt powerful and energetic gigs around Melbourne soon. With a future EP release on the near horizon and a follow up album in the works, this is a unique and exciting band that is on the ascent. Stay Tuned!
