Help the Needy is an international relief charity, with its core specialist focus on Orphans and Widows in its widest context. The aim is to serve with a holistic approach the general needs of women and children (orphans and widow) to enable them to maintain both strong and long-term self-reliance and development. This will include areas of supplying means for food, primary healthcare and education. Help the Needy is very particular about serving the broad needs.

Serving orphans will include providing food, education and literacy development.

Widow support entails assisting them to generate income for their households and develop sustainable livelihood thus depending on themselves and able at the same time to contribute to the needs of the local society through self employment.

Iraq today holds a widow population of one Million. To ensure liveliness to their lives, and the future of their children, it is essential to help them gain the tools and expertise to fulfil their life-long needs and maintain stability.

Primary Healthcare will also be a prime aspect of our service to both the orphans and widows to maintain a minimal standard of healthcare; building clinics, medical diagnosis and general practitioner service.

Established in 1996, Help the Needy was initially formed to respond to the growing humanitarian needs of Iraqis in Iraq and those displaced in Jordan and Syria. Our experience in Iraq has now allowed us to expand to many additional parts of the world, also specialising in serving women and children; orphans and widows.

Our charity operates in many countries including Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq, Bangladesh, Rwanda and many others.
