Salaam Alaikum brothers and sisters in Islam.
Islam is not what the media portrays. Islam is not violence, nor is it pure hatred against all those who aren't Muslim. It is the true religion of Allah (swt), the Creator of All.
See the other religions nowadays. So much of it has been changed over time. The Torah has been changed and so has the "Holy" Bible. The New Testament is considered holy even after the fact that it is just the account of the life of Isa (a.s). It is known that Christianity has over 116 versions of the Bible. The Torah has also been changed and some sources suggest that it has been locked up in order to hide it. The truth is that both religions have lost the trust of many of its followers since they have been continously changed by men of the past.
The truth is within Islam. The Quran has never been changed, nor will it ever be. 1400 years has it been the same. Allah (s.w.t) has said in the Quran:
We have sent down the Reminder, and We will preserve it. (Al-Hijr 15: 9),
Islam promises salvation to all those who follow and strive in the path of Islam. Those who submit their Imaan (faith) to Allah (s.w.t) will be granted paradise. But remember, worship Allah (s.w.t) for His sake, not for the sake of Paradise or the rewards that await the Muslims.
This materialistic world is a brutal place. The Disbelievers hold this world dearly as if it were their salvation. They hold on to this world, believing that it will safeguard them from Allah (s.w.t). This world is their enjoyment and their lifes purpose. They have made this world into a immoral and evil place in which they enjoy sinning. The world for the Muslim has become a Hell. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said:
The world is a prison for the believer and a jannah for the kaafir [Sahih Muslim Kitaab Az-Zuhd]
Do not be discouraged by this, my brothers and sisters in Islam. The Believers of Allah (s.w.t) are promised Paradise. Keep your Imaan (faith) strong, Follow the Quran and Sunnah. Spread the message of Islam and help those in need. Make peace between all and fight against injustice, evil and oppression. May Allah (s.w.t) guide us and protect us wherever we are.
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah (s.w.t) and that Muhammad (p.b.u.h) is the final Messenger of Allah (s.w.t).
