Baalbeck Temples Band Hayakel Baalbeck band was established in the year 1994. It included six people who were trained under the supervision of Abou Yehya Solah and Abou Ibrahim Solah. They learned and mastered Baalbeck Folklore dance (Dabke) inallits forms. They were the first people to master such kind of dance, in a time where everybody offered it nothing but disregardness. The band obtained an official license from the ministry of youth and sports, on January 7th 2003. The band then became an official, artistic and cultural institution whose goal is to maintain the civilized and national inheritance of Lebanon. Omar Hamade, one of the prominent figures of this band, is the vigorous coach, who trains without stopping and he's always eager to create a piece of magic and enchantment to every lyric. He wants to install in it his dance show, whether he is a knight fighting for the sake of survival or a bird wondering in a space, Omar is keen to set a civilized piece of art which conserves with youth spirit. Today a big number of people are interested in the band shows, and many others joined the band. There are about 35 dancers. The band has participated in several weddings, parties and national festivals in Lebanon like in Baalbeck festival and abroad.
