Every LCDO Primo Passo fan knows that Chopin's "Tristesse" (meaning 'sadness' in French) was played by Kahoko Hino in the First Selection. What some of you may not know is that the melody inspired the 1950's song entitled "No Other Love" sung by Jo Stafford (my brother likes 'songs of yesteryears' ok?). Just for fun, do try singing the lyrics (below) together with the music and you'll know why it became a Billboard hit in its time. There are YouTube uploads of this song that you can listen to like the one I tagged in the Favorites section of my channel (please visit!) in case you're curious or just being nostalgic!
