Penso proprio che il TT dell'isola di Man, sia, per chi ama correre nelle gare stradali il massimo della soddisfazione; credo anche che...nessun pilota debba mai giustificarsi del fatto che corra in una gara così pericolosa, la passione per le gare stradali è per alcuni piloti un assioma, al di là dell'esito finale qualunque esso sia.
Esistono vari livelli di rischio nelle corse, in questo tipo di gare il livello è altissimo, ma tutti ne sono consapevoli, quindi ogni discorso sulla morale, sul concetto di stupidità alla propensione verso il pericolo, non troverà mai la verità, questo perchè non si può cambiare l'antropologia dell'uomo e nemmeno le sue perversioni. So anche che non si dovrà mai giustificare la morte di nessuno, questo è certo ma...credo soprattutto che l'uomo abbia questa grande libertà che è quella di decidere cosa sia giusto o sbagliato per lui, nel bene o nel male che sia...apologia? Potete chiamarla come più vi piace, per me è soltanto passione.

I do truly believe that the TT Race of the Isle of Man is, for those who love road races the highest satisfaction. I do also think that a pilot should never feel obliged to justify for running in such a dangerous race: passion for road races is for some pilots an axiom, that goes far above the final result, whatever could it be.
Racing involves a wide range of risks of many levels; in road racing, the risk is at its highest. Nevertheless everyone is well aware, everyone knows. For this reason, I do consider that every speech on moral, on the sillyness of the absurd propensity towards danger will never get any sense and never meet the truth. First of all, on competition as well as on daily life, every adult is conscious and free to make his choice; more than that, it is not possible to shape human nature to such a degree, nor it is to control his perversions. I do not justify anybody's death, but I do believe that the ultimate freedom of mankind is to decide what is fair or unfair to him/her, for the good and for the bad. Apology? You may define this as you prefer; to me, it is just passion.
