Has nothing to do with disease or anything like that. Has to do with behavior, they can't let every joe schmo in with their dog because if that dog bites someone HELLO LAWSUIT! The only dogs allowed in most public places are guide/assistance dogs who are well trained especially for public places.

A good end to this story, but sadly it will happen again that dogs are stolen from the front of a store.

Why can't dogs go inside most stores? I would think that many store owners would allow it, if just to encourage business. (After all, if you can't tie your dog up, what will you do, drive to the store just so you have a place to lock up your dog?).

Regarding establishments serving food, many dogs spend a good part of their lives under the kitchen table, and it is not causing any pandemics.

I am SO happy to hear that you are reunited with Hambone. You have been in my prayers every single night. I spent countless days trying to put myself in your shoes, then I look at my beautiful yellow lab "Hailey" and I get this sick feeling in my stomach.
