Hey,
My Name is Haley Breedlove.
I play guitar, bass, piano and I am attempting to slowly learn the banjo and fiddle. I recorded my first cd when I was 13 called This is Me. It's really pink. My first release on radio ended up going #99 on the Country Music Charts! Whoo :)
For most of my high school years I have been homeschooled (yes, I still socialize that is a complete sterotype) so, I can concentrate on my music. In 2007 I won Vancouver Island Youth Artist of the Year. A week later I got sick from sharing a microphone and was in bed for two weeks yay. I have been grateful to work with some amazing musicians such as Ryan Belitsky, Alexandria Maillot, Gerry Barnum, Sererna Jack, J. Douglas Dodd, Shawn Soucy. The list goes on.
Recently, I went on a Nashville "escapade" with my mom where I recorded 3 new songs, got to meet some incredible people such as Paul Jefferson, Lisa Brokop, Larry Wayne Clarke, RyLee Maddison and again, the list never ends. I also got to sing at the bluebird cafe (If you don't know what that is google it. It's reallllyyy imporant =D), got to co-write, got mistaken for Hannah Montana a few times, eat turkey sandwiches and eat at Applebees a ridiculous amount of times.
In my spare time I enjoy ballroom dancing, going to the beach and eating. Well, everyone loves eating but, you get what I mean.
I was half adopted. So, I have thee worlds biggest family. Well, not biggest just hardest to explain. I also enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews (all 11 almost 12 of them) even if they scream, cry or demand my attention at all times =).
I have three best friends who are seriously as awesome as awesome gets. Which is preeettty awesome. Lanna, Liz and Ambs. I love you :) ♥
I live in a one stoplight town. Litter-ally. We now have a round about though so, we are slowly getting, I guess more.....complicated?
Random Acts of Senseless Kindness is sort of my motto. So, I go around to schools and sing and tell kids violence isn't the answer. Then they ask me questions. One time a kid asked me if I ever got sweaty. Oh, yay.
I bought with my first biggest pay cheque ever a pair of $200 red ray bans. A week later I bought every other color, for $10.00.
One thing to know, never ask me to cook (unless it is Pumpkin Cheescake.) Singing is definitely my thing.
I have a scary obsession with Audrey Hepburn. She is amazing.
Also, I sponsor the cutest girl in Mali Africa named Saran. Her letters always make me smile.
