About this user

Hal Flavin was formed in Luxembourg by two revenants from Europe's capitals and a ferocious indigen. The recipe of their music features electropop song structures and beats, modified samples, distillations of rock drive and a chunk of edgy synth-pop. Compared by some listeners to Hurts, The Talking Heads or Röyksopp respectively, their sound has a hybrid ambiguity that sets it apart.

They supported the likes of Metronomy, IAMX, The Faint, Fujiya & Miyagi, Does It Offend You, Yeah! and Birdy Nam Nam and played at festivals like Eurosonic Noorderslag, Rock a Field (w/ Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand, The Ting Tings...) and Italia Wave Love (w/ Placebo, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin...). A series of gigs in the UK, France, Italy, Benelux and the Czech Republic has earned them the reputation of a thrilling live band with tons of fusional energy.

The new Ep « The Talk » has been released on 29 April. It's a fierce electro-pop record, self-produced with friends and mastered by Mike Marsh at The Exchange Studios (London).

Also check out the first single "Wheel of Fortune (Dragon Edit)", which was released in October last year and has attracted attention from local radios in Luxembourg (Chart position nb. 13) as well as French and Belgian campus radios (available on selected download platforms).
