Alright, a couple of things about me:

Anyone who knows me well knows I HATE mainstream music. I hate how it confines people, how it brainwashes people, and how it sells million of records at a time while underrated underground artists are still stuggling to make ends meet. It's a common occurance for my generation to fall easily for fades and fashion trends, and i'm greatful in that i've always been a step above all that.

I also hate so-called "music artists" who don't even write their own music or lyrics. What I hate worse though, is when people tell me "everyone does it", because that's simply not true.

I think old school punk rock and hardcore (like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Dead Kennedy, Flux of Pink Indians, Gang Green, ect.) is fucking awesome and I absolutly think more metal-heads should listen to it and have an appreciation for it. Believe me, it is soooooo much better then that shit you have nowadays that passes for "hardcore" or "punk".

I'm an old school Cannibal Corpse fan. Even though George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher is a pretty cool guy as far as I know, I don't like the direction he's taking the band (i.e. towards mallcore-ism)

Although all of the members' of Slipknot are well versed in the styles of extreme metal (black metal, death metal, grindcore), they're incredibly overrated, appeal to mallgoths, and choose to play watered down nu-metal crap.

I absolutly HATE elitests. Next to posers, they are the #1 threat to heavy metal and music in general. It's b/c of elitests that people tend not to take heavy metal seriously. Elitiests fashion there own unpenetratable logic and are always full of themselves (such as AngeryGrindcoreFan).

-They claim to think for themselves, when really they just say all the same shit you hear other elitests say.

-They criticize metalcore bands for being "emo" or "gay", niether of which has anything to do with the music.

-They (usually) hate melo-death metal, groove metal, power metal, gothic metal and industrial metal for no other reason other than it's not "br00tal" enough.

-Hypocritally, they tend to have very limited knowledge on the orgins of heavy metal or it's founding bands (except for maybe Black Sabbath). Mention of seminal proto-metal bands like Iron Butterfly or Uriah Heep usually provoke negative responses.

I also hate people who say they detest anything with a "-core" at the end of it (as if the suffix "-core" indicated anything significant). With this logic, they've excluded hardcore punk, grindcore, nardcore, digital hardcore, thrashcore, terrorcore, happy hardcore
and various other musical genres that end with "-core" that they've probably never even heard of!
