My band "The Cherrypickers" & I were Kenny's backup band on his very first tour of the UK in 1978 ... He was a really great singer and a really lovely guy. Always the consummate professional onstage and great fun to be around off stage ... Kenny Seratt should have been a huge star and is right up...

This was the demolition of the chimneys at the APCM cement works, Northfleet & definitely not the nearby former Northfleet Power Station that were demolished some years previously to these particular chimneys.

This clip was filmed at The Peterborough Festival of Country Music when my band acted as Becky's backing band .... the guy playing the pedal steel is none other than a very young 13 year old MELVIN DUFFY who was sitting-in with us on that slot .... Melvin has since gone on to much bigger & better...

I was the tour manager & sound engineer on this tour. These girls were great fun and could certainly drink ....

I thought that this clip had vanished after all these years. The band consisted of RUFUS RUFFELL on lead guitar, MARK CLEMENTS on bass, LUCE LANGRIDGE on drums and the late great TREVOR PITSON on pedal steel guitar and me of course. These events were a sort of Eurovision song contest for country ...

Great song which I haven't heard for years & that I used to play when I worked as a solo in the 70's.

This film was shot at The Wembley International Festival of Country Music, London, England ... I'm not sure which year this was ... I met Hoyt Axton when my band & I toured Canada in 1984 ... he was a true giant in every way.

My band & I did 2 UK tours with Dick in the 1980's and worked alongside him on a few shows when we toured Canada in 1984. Dick Damron is definitely one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of knowing in this crazy & sometimes phoney business they call "show".

I've got the original version of this by the guy who wrote it (Christie Hennessey) on an album he recorded for Westwood Records in Wales in the early 1970's. This version is crap in comparison
