The works of Hilario Picasso Pedregal reflect his romantic and complex mentality. His works are distinguinshed by his sincere and bright perception of the world, combined with his great interest in the unusual and the fantastic. Pedregal communicates his ideas through the vibrant colors and harmony of nature and his inspiration comes from his dreams and visions.
Pedregal is a self-taught artist. His passions for art appeared at the early age of nine. Cuban born, Pedregal came to the United States at the age of 15 as part of the Mariel exodus. Upon moving to the United States, Pedregal lived with an american family which became as his second relatives and after ten years he got the so wished reunification with his relatives. For the las 31 years, he has lived in Miami, The Sun Capital.
Since 1980, Hilario's art work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, Central and South America. In 2007, Pedregal was invited to the Studio 235 Miraflores, Lima, Peru and Selam Art Gallery in Paris, France for solo exhibitions for more than 6 years. His works have been featured in several newspapers and television spots.
His dynamic and unique style has made him one of Cuba's rising stars in the world of modern art.
