I know why Windows '45 does not run good compared to '42. It's because Windows '45 was made in Berlin at the time when Berlin was under attack. Factories were worse. I think '45 was hand made!

Maybe you forgot to completely close the door and it opened by itself. Little trace of wind might actually push that. Ours here opens by itself too, but it's the wind coming from the back of the house.

Hey, I just cleaned my movement out. I took the movement and looked at the back. The movement was made by FHS (Hermle). I placed it back and it works! That's what the clock needed, a good cleaning.

@ehmpayhnada I think that's battery operated since it's a toy.

I have one of those in my bedroom. I recommend you using the nylon ribbon since they're cheaper. Mine is on the second ribbon. Those film ribbons are hard to find (for my model). Although there are some, those are for word processors (with screens).

I think there's a problem with the fan that regulates the speed in the chimes and strike.

I just cleaned the movement out. Sheesh, more than 20 years without cleaning, result is dirty and oily hands. It now works like I made it work last year. I wonder if it will last a week.
