About this user

Born in Wanker County, my mother Mrs. Clara Clagwell, named me after my Godfather Aubry Hoyt (my real father). My daddy Thurman Clagwell and Mr. Hoyt entered in a partnership to build farm tractors. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Hoyt got wind of "the situation"and could not get along with my mother. The partnership broke under the strain after only one tractor had been built. My father (Dad Clagwell) went on to the county seat and the Hoyts went into the wax fruit business. Man I wish I knew where that tractor ended up.
As a child there was always music around the house as my daddy played the spoons and my mother played the bagpipe. As long as I live, I will never forget that sound. Naturally, I wanted to join in, so imagine my surprize when one morning, I found an accordian under the tree. (the big sycamore at the end of the lane). I practiced that thing all afternoon but I just couldn't learn it so I switched to the banjo. After spending weeks mastering Stairway to Heaven, my beloved banjo mysteriously dissappeared and I've been choppin' on the mandolin ever since.
After my first wife left me, I met with a group of "musicians" and we entered the talent show at the Wanker County Potatoe Fest and Demolition Derby. To everyone's stunned amazement, we won first prize, due mainly to our bass player,Gonzo's hog calling abilities (and on account of my daddy's position in the county seat). The county newsletter, known locally as "Wanker's Rag", proclaimed us as "Wanker's deluxe roadside attraction!" Well, we rode that wave of publicity and promptly renamed the band "Wanker Deluxe" (formerly Emerson Biggins) and that year we toured all over the tri-county area. The band members are the Rev. Gonzo on electric bass fiddle, Lack Styles plays the hubcap guitar (sideways!) John Smith on the flat top (a player like him is hard to find) and of course myself on "that little wimpy thang". You can see us play all of our hits on the wankerdeluxe you tube channel.
Since that time, we had to move up to Canada (on account of "the incident") even though everyone agreed she looked 19 at the time. I'll never forget seeing my first snowstorm. It was June. Everone was so happy 'cause it really put a damper on the black flies.
Well it's coming up on 5am, time for me to feed the Emus and watch for UFOs. I hope you'll check out wankerdeluxe. Our music, as they say, is better than it sounds.
