Canadian doctors and cardiologists do not know anything about HCM!! What should I do? Three people at least have died in my family in the past 25 years. My natural family comes from British Columbia....with most of my family residing in Manitoba. What should me and my family do? Canada has a much much smaller population than the United States so...I have no idea what to do.

I understand the pain of losing someone to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, I lost my son Brian age 19 on March 2, 2006. It took them almost 3 months to find what he died from. He died on a treadmill at a Gym. No one in my family ever died from this and we have never heard of it. I cant stress having your child tested for HCM. I work in a hospital for 27 years and I am so sorry I never knew. Lisa has made a difference in my life, she is an angel.

I was diagnosed with HCM back in 2002 when I was about 33 after serving 3 years in the Navy and 8 years of being a drywall stocker. I've always had jobs where heavy lifting was part of everyday, but in late 2001 I started having symtoms. I took me a while befor I was properly diagnosed. I guess the thickening is not that bad and I'm told that it's non abstructive, so my cardiologist doesn't see any problem with me continuing my heavy lifting job, but I don't have the energy to continue everyday is different. I have also noticed that my eyesight has really gone downhill, but it's hard to tell if it's the HCM or just the fact that I'm 42. Well, thank you for your videos! I will be tuning in!

Thanks for a very informative your youtube channel. What else could I get that type of information captured in such an ideal approach? I have a challenge that I am simply now operating on, and I've been at the look out for such information.

I posted a video of my brother on here he died June 7, 2007 from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at the age of 25. My Mom has talked to Lisa about it and she has been really helpful... Keep posting the videos I like watching them and listening to what she has to say.
