Holy Crap! 134 mph with a terrible 60 ft means if you spooled properly and got a good launch, I can see this car in the 9's at over 140 mph! Seriously dude...get some slicks for the track and start working that suspension...you would be amazed!

@baconsoap78 Most cars trap (cross the 1/4 mark) at the top of their 3rd gear in an automatic. If your car somehow shifted into 4th, you could actually slow down at the 1/4 mark and have a slower ET and trap speed.

This is easy to do if you do it daily for years. I have a 140 mile round trip commute and over 5 years, I just recently went over 150k in my Scion xA. I love it and plan to drive mine till the wheels fall off!

It looked as if the right rear tire/wheel locked up for a split second which would explain why it oversteered to the right with the left wheels still pushing the car. That sucks! At least no one was hurt!

I think it would be safe to say that with a modest 10 psi on the engine (and the Coyote engine is more than capable of handling this without any mods), 412 hp with 10 psi makes approximately 700 hp...when you factor in the 15% loss of power through the driveline, the end result is right at 595 hp.

It must have been that ridiculous 5.0 badge on that SN95 car that slowed it down and stalled the engine. I despise people who put the wrong badges on cars to make others think it's something they aren't, but there is a special "hell" for those that do this with Mustangs!

Since it's a rally style car, maybe they should have reversed the ramps and JUMPED the car out of the trailer.

You don't get torque steer in RWD cars, but powerful engines in a RWD have a tendency to twist the body of the car which causes one side of the car to lift slightly off the suspension and causes different rates of traction for both rear wheel. @warrenreed Doesn't surprise me one bit. I own Mustangs and have always wanted a Grand National. Those 3.8 liter engines are absolute torque monsters and are always underestimated by the typical V8 crowd, but they handle incredible amounts of boost and develop their power in the lower rpm range...

This is a fantastic video! I own a 2006 Scion xA and have recently considered turbocharging it. Can you offer any advice or please tell me what kit you used with yours to include how you handled the fuel/engine management aspect of the mod? Thanks and hope to see more video!

Was it still the stock 3.55 gears? Rebuild that rear end with some 3.73 gears, 31 spline axles (since you will have it torn down anyway) and get the IRS brace. Should be seeing 11's regularly...nice run despite the mechanical failure. Most people will never even see low 12's.

Very nice car, but how is it in the 1/4 mile? All the power in the world is useless if you can't put it down on the track.

@jfowler23 I think you are hearing another car in the background. The volume of that engine changes and lingers after he left the line. My Mustang sounds similar to this one and it also has a free flowing exhaust with uncatted offroad xpipe.
