"Elysian Shadows" is a 2D RPG for Sega Dreamcast, Sony PSP, and PC being developed by my girlfriend, a group of friends, and me. It's our dream to some day finish it and perhaps even have some of you play it.

We post development videos here so that you can watch as development progresses, comment on it, and tell us to hurry the hell up.

We strive to maintain a delicate balance between entertainment and education.

nice videos! very informative for those who want to really work on stuff like this! keep up the hard work and good luck on your projects!

There's actually a thriving community of Dreamcast developers and homebrewers who still pay to buy Dreamcast games. http://redspotgames.com is a company that publishes indie Dreamcast games (to this day).

I have a question, if you guys expect to sell any copies of this game why make it for dreamcast? chances are not a whole lot of people play dreamcast anymore let alone have one

Elysian Shadows sounds like a very promising project. It's great to see that there are other enthusiastic and talented game developers out there who are in it for the love of games and keep creating the projects of their dreams. It's so rare to see promising and ambitious homebrew projects. Keep up the great work. :-)

looking at Bearrick's channel I've yet to see anything related to programming other than stolen advice from Falco.

I don't have the slightest idea how to use GNU make. I've never even heard of it until now. Can you help me with it?
GyroVorbis (6 days ago)
Technically, yeah, but installing KDE over GNOME results in loss off performance, and it's less stable (I've heard). It doesn't matter though, since 99% of Linux development happens in a terminal window. Learn to use the GNU GCC tools/compiler. All you need is GNU Make (which is on all flavors of Linux) instead of an IDE when you're in a Linux environment.
