I have been natural since my first BC back in June 1995. I have been on the natural scene for a long time, but most of that time sent me through 3 more BC's while I was lost trying to figure out this thing that we call natural. It has been indeed a journey for this seasoned natural.

As far as hair type goes, I would say my hair type is 4A overall. At one time for those that knew me I was considering myself a 3C because when my hair was shorter my curls were bigger and was filled with corkscrews. Now that my hair is much longer the curl pattern has changed. My curls are now more s-curls that corkscrews on the ends of my hair.

As far as texture goes, my hair is medium in texture with some finer hairs dispersed throughout.

Dentangling my hair is very easy. I was surprised since my hair is rather thick and super curly.

Signature styles are WNG and the ponypuff.

5 Things my hair loves:
1. Water
2. Vegetable Glycerin
3. Castor Oil
4. Aloe Vera
5. Behentrimonium Methosulfate (fatty alcohols)

My hair regimen: Modified Curly-Girl for about 2 years now. I do use shampoo. After following the NO poo method for a year, I found that my hair needs to be cleansed intermittently with a shampoo of some sort.

Hair hates:
1. Protein (most, but does tolerate certain ones)
2. Shea butter heavy products
3. Commercial hair gel
4. mineral oil
5. coconut oil

** I don't use all of these all time. These are more noteworthy products that I have on hand that I change up among according to what look I am going for. Some may not be purchased again in the future. But these are my main products that I use on my hair on a regular basis.

** I am looking to simplify things and stay with about 2 or 3 really good lines of products. Not all of these are great or work that wonderfully on my hair. But I suffer from PJ'ism like most naturals.

**With regular use, I use more natural products on my hair that I named in the top five things my hair loves. I add these to other products or just use them alone on my hair.
