I started gymnastics in September of 2008. It was once a week for an hour and a 1/2. From then on I started teaching myself tumbling skills since the recreational class I was in was easy :P I taught myself a back tuck on the tramp and then went on to front and back layouts, twist ect. In late February I finally got the courage to try my standing back handspring on the ground. Finally I got my back tuck on the ground standing and from a round off bhs in April. I was invited to the prep op novice team in March :) You make up your routines and the skills are around level 4 to 6.
I tumble a lot in my yard and am focusing on standing tumbling right now :)
