Hi Dawnjayoga. There are arguably very clear distinctions to be made. However, in my commentary of the Sutras (see the videos for Book 4), the spiritual practitioner's response to both is the same. They are both to be stepped out of.

Gurugilles, I have heard from some that study the Yoga Sutras that that prakriti ("the great flow of life") and samsara ("the wheel of existence") are the same, what do you think?
