Yeah, I am pretty fed up with this modern melodeath / screamo scene. Been that for a long time. I am more of an old timer, when it comes to music. I mainly listen stuff from around late 60's to early 90's. It's marvellous that you can still actually hear people perform that music live with all these new retro-bands. People can listen to what they want, and there's opinions to "what is good music" as much as there is assholes.

Being a bit too young back in the days, it's good that those times are back, in a sence. Seeing Morbus and Autopsy live last summer in Hammer Open Air, held in a scruffy, wooden convention centre was like I was back in those days for a short time
.Same thing here in Finland ; Thrash and especially Death metal ( the traditional kind ) is on the rise for a few years, and some NWOBHM- influenced vintage bands are emerging aswell.

Not exactly the best of the bands there, but I found it quite warming that I am not the only Heavy Load- fan on this side of the gulf.
