I love the show, but im disappointed I never see any 87 to 96 model trucks. Like mods to the old 300 inline. Thats one of the best motors ford ever put out. There are lots of things you guys could put on your show. Like the E fan mod, and converting to mass air system.

I have a 95 model f150 with the 4.9 and a standard 5 speed tranny, and it makes the exact same sound to a T. Exactly the same. So I doubt its the torque converter. Are you sure its not piston slap?

How the hell did you kids get ahold of 150 proof?

@shopdawg85 4.9 300 straight six doesn't have a timing chain. It is run by interlocking gears. His truck isn't a 302. But I have to agree with you on it maybe being the valve tappets.

@johntrebec I recently bought a 95 model. Mine was in near perfect condition, with little to no rust, accessories, and a campertop, and I got mine for 1400.

Guys I am a certified master gunsmith. Take it from me thats not how its done. In order to recrown a muzzle, you have to strip the reciever of all parts. Then chuck it up in a 3 or 4 jaw lathe chuck about 3 inches from the muzzle tip. Then you'll need to get you a piece of high speed steel toolin...

You guys need to check out project bolt on by stinger performance. They took a stock mustang 2.3 4 banger, and turbo'd it. And they are beating built V8's and everything. It has 350 horsepower. Hey man how sturdy are those folding stocks that come equipt on the vz58's? Do they have much slop in them or is the design closer to that of the galil?

@Ducksrule123 Amen. All I have ever driven are manuals. They don't tear up as easily, they give you more power, and they are easier on gas. Automatic sucks.

Good buy my friend. Ford makes some of the better trucks on the planet regardless of what others have to say. I have a 91 f150 302 4x4 as well. Fine running trucks.

I have owned several fords and chevrolets, and I would have to say that my favorite bar none, is ford. The old 302, and 300 straight six are a couple of the best truck motors ever made. RIght now we have a 92 f150 300l6 with 267,000 miles on it still ticking with no noise in the motor.

Gotta love the epic music in the background. I saw a test were they shot one at a class III Law Enforcement ballistics vest. It penetrated through all layers of Kevlar, front and back of the vest. As well as going straight through the trauma pack. A very impressive round.
