Hi there. I am a 14 year old who thoroughly enjoys playing guitar. The day I told my dad I wanted to play was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Over the past three years, music has changed my life and made me a more open minded person. I now live and breathe progressive rock. Discovering bands such as Pink Floyd, Yes, and King Crimson made me realize that music can be so much more than just a traditional verse-chorus-verse-chorus song. Getting to see some of these guys in concert, and even MEET, makes it more special to me though. My top guitarists include David Gilmour and Steve Howe. As much as I enjoy progressive rock, I love other music too. Those bands include My Chemical Romance, Circa Survive, and Paramore. At the same time, I like checking out relatively younger groups that are heavily influenced by my favorite prog bands like Porcupine Tree and Opeth. Seeing that more recent groups are carrying out the prog legacy gives me hope that I will be able to do the same in the future.
