About VILLA-LOBOS-DUO
Das VILLA-LOBOS-DUO sind die Musiker Sven Holger Philippsen (Cello) und Boyan Karanjuloff (Gitarre). Für beide liegt der besondere Reiz darin, zwei Instrumente mit fast identischem Tonumfang im Pizzicato zu einer Einheit zu verschmelzen, sie dann wieder im Dialog mit dem gestrichenen Ton des Cellos wunderbar harmonisch korrespondieren zu lassen und dabei völlig neue Farben zu erfinden.
Durch die langjährige und kontinuierliche Arbeit hat das VILLA-LOBOS-DUO ein außergewöhnliches und umfassendes Repertoire aus nord- und südamerikanischer, sowie süd- und osteuropäischer Musik erschlossen, das seit der Gründung des Ensembles immer den Geschmack des Konzertpublikums getroffen hat. Originalkompositionen, eigene Bearbeitungen, viel Raum für spontane Improvisationen und ein sehr persönlicher Umgangston mit dem Publikum lassen einen Konzertabend mit dem VILLA-LOBOS-DUO zu einem nachhaltig eindrucksvollen Erlebnis werden.
