This is good stuff indeed. I definitely hear Fates Warning and early Queensryche, and maybe even a hint of Rush, but also some more traditional melodic metal like Dokken. That's not a bad thing in anyway, and there's not a hint of posing here. There are few death/harsh vocals in the background...
