The Controllers is a soul quartet that began as the Epics in 1965 in Fairfield, Alabama. They became the Soul Controllers in 1970, and finally The Controllers. The members consisted of Reginald and Larry McArthur, Lenard Brown, and Ricky Lewis. The groups's singing style is similar to groups from the early 70s thru mid 80s such as The Manhattans, The Spinners, and The Stylistics, but they were very less popular than the above mentioned groups.
