Grizzly Hunts 2011-St. Frances de Chantel church

St. Frances de Chantel church 1880-1936 an early pioneer Catholic church that predates the Minnesota Catholic diocese. I found the location that the foundation of the church was pushed to after the church was torn down in 1940's. The Greenbush Catholic Cemetery still exists with many unmarked and lost graves. It is rumored that Native Americans may be buried here being given a Christian burial after the Rice Lake, Battle Creek battle between two Native American Tribes fought over wild rice property rights. The Teresa and Jeanine have done a great deal of research about the cemetery and church and were a great aid even assisting with the dig. The GreenBush Township is a fascinating area that's story needs to be recovered and told.

Grizzly Hunts 2011-Carter Farmstead Mille Lacs, MN

The Carter Farmstead is property of Mr. Mattson and with his permission I am hunting this Pioneer Farmstead.

Grizzly Hunts 2011- Kennedy Pioneer Farmstead

Mattson Property of the Kennedy Pioneer Farmstead only has one pump and the remainder of a root cellar that is the only remnants of this once prosperous pioneer dairy farm.

One Room School House, Sherburne Cty Dist. NO. 27

This was on my top 3 locations to hunt and I was fortunate to be given permission by Mr. Huffman to hunt this historic local one room school house. It took a lot of work, but I found the relic and treasures that embody this great historic site and tell its story.

Grizzly Hunts 2011-Huffman Homestead- Blue Hill Township, MN

Mr. Huffman recently purchased the Turek 80 acres and was really wonderful letting me hunt the homestead, the school and another homestead near the school. I learned a lot and perfected my craft.

Grizzly Hunts 2011-Historic General Store- Santiago, MN

Chuck allowed me to metal detect and dig around this historic General Store found in Santiago, MN. It was a challenge with all the square nails, but I managed to find some great relics and even a few of treasure!
