I saw the last part of your game against LSU. What a heartbreaker! As far as I am concerned, Tennessee won the game. But of course, the stats won't say so. You do have a good team and I am wishing you the best for the rest of the season. That running back on your team is incredible.

I just read your comment on my channel, and I know how tough a loss like that can be. (Oregon has had plenty of difficulties in the past.) Your team is in a rebuilding year. But I saw some really good things from them in the first half. Justin Wilcox had coached them well, so we know you've got some defensive tools. The redzone play needs to be improved, but that will come with time. Coach Dooley looks like a quality guy who will not cut and run. I think your team has good days ahead. Keep your chin up and look to the future. Your team shows promise. It will just take some time. Best wishes from your football friend in Oregon.

Less than two hours to kickoff...I can hardly wait! I hear there may be some rain. But as you know, here in Oregon the Ducks get plenty of rain, so I hope that doesn't stop us. Here's hoping it's a good and balanced contest.

Thanks for the note. It's too bad both our teams can't win. I'll be rooting for the Ducks, of course, and hoping Justin Wilcox can't stop us this time.

There are two other games on this weekend with former Oregon quarterbacks that I'm going to watch. First is Ole Miss vs Tulane on Saturday evening (it overlaps with the Tenn-Ore game), with Jeremiah Masoli at the helm for Ole Miss. At least, I hope so. Masoli is an excellent QB and a pretty good kid, in spite of his mistakes. The second game is NFL Steelers v Atlanta, with Dennis Dixon at QB for the Steelers. A great weekend of football lies ahead.

Well, D-Day is coming -- September 11th -- when the Ducks play the Volunteers at Tennessee. Our team is really good, but then again, so is yours. And you have Justin Wilcox, who knows the Oregon Ducks really well, coaching on defense. No matter who wins, it should be a good game. But the Ducks need to win. We really do. So just this once on your site, I'll say: Go Ducks!! (It's nothing personal, I just couldn't help it.)
