Dark Souls is a good game, but Skyrim is better (when it works). I did really enjoy Dark Souls though, it was unforgiving, but felt good when you beat an enemy (any enemy not just bosses) but If I was going to play a game for the Holidays, I'd definitely go Skyrim.
