Nice to see how much of Leonhardt's personality went into these ensemble performances. It's very skilled conducting, and I like the fact he's seated—much in keeping with the period. I note how beautifully the two recorder-players handle their exposed unison passages: very very hard to do unison d...

I'm sorry to see that you don't seem capable of taking a critical comment seriously. The performance, by the way, is very nice indeed; but that doesn't bely my belief that the Webern makes a complete mockery of the counterpoint. He's showing off his extraordinary ability to score, this I don't do...

Sword, the second note, for example (it's an E-flat): hear the jingle"? There are others, too, although in the opening single-part theme the E-flat is the only one that sticks out. Sorry, I'm a bit fussy about these things; organs are pretty hard to keep in tune, but for a recorded performance yo...

Errr ... where's the fugue? Dude, this is marvellous playing; your shaping of the phrases is just lovely, and the pulse is strong. Do pester those recordists to get as clear as possible a sound from an organ—the non-legato of the semiquavers really needs to be crisp.

Well done—an accomplished performance. Organ sound needs to be less shrill, especially on the high notes. Manual can't have a 16-foot in it, and the bass part MUST. In two places the bass goes higher than the second tenor and the harmony is otherwise nonsense.

You're a good performer. But ... pedal very unclear, which is a problem you'll need to deal with in terms of tempo, organ, acoustics, and miking. I suggest you *don't* move to a subsidiary manual. There are very good reasons for not doing so. Your playing could do with just a little sway at point...

Who's teaching organists to play clipped? Finally they're catching up with other baroque musicians. You could still use more non-legato in your semiquaver work, given the booming acoustics. Pedal needs more distinctive registration: can't hear it well. Well done indeed.

Recording lacks clarity, I'm afraid. Acoustics make it very hard to get around that problem. It's a good professional job by an old hand at it. I'd drop the opening mordent. It's probably not your thing, but I'd prefer you made more of the massive curvaceous gestures, using agogic distortions, so...
