About this user
Dwayne John is a Reggae and Dub artist from Grand Anse, Grenada. In his teenage years he worked as a studio artist with Full Moon Records. He then went on to sign with Royal Caribbean International as a vocalist on their Cruise Lines. Upon his return to Grenada, he developed a series of songs that were released as music videos.
His first video in 2007 was a remake of the 1980's song called "Break My Stride". He followed that up in 2008 with the release of "Guide Me Back Again", a poignant video about Grenadian youth who have died as a result of violent crimes. His most recent video in 2009, entitled "Shake It Up", was Grenada's first ever hip-hop dance video. He describes his melodic dubbing style as "a positive vibe to uplift my people."
Dwayne is currently working on his first album, entitled "Elevate", set to release on September 10th, 2010. The first single off the CD is entitled "Elevate", and will be primarily aimed at local radio stations. His next music video will debut soon after Carnival 2010.
