I fell in love with this song about a year before I ever saw the vid. I think this is better song than "We Belong Together." (Don't get me wrong, love that one, too. I suspect this song will get remade more often than "We Belong..."

LUV dis song!!! The arrangement fails for me when they deflate the the tension already built up by going to this part which might have served as a really cool recitative (the part with the lyric "there ain't nothing I wouldn't pay, just to hear you say..."

@belovers4ever Love, love love this song. This singer is immortal. There will never be another. i sing and know many others who have attempted to get his phrasing down; we're all stumped. Genius is as easy to grasp as smoke. High art is a thimble full of God. Mr. Cooke strikes me as both.
